Kim Myung Soo, (also known as L), explained why he chose “Numbers” after completing his military service.

On the 23rd of June, the new MBC Friday-Saturday drama “Numbers” held its press conference. During the conference, Kim Myung Soo stated, “It is a drama that deals with accountants properly for the first time in Korea. I saw many scripts after my military discharge, and this seemed to be the most fun.”

“Numbers” is a human office comedy that depicts the story of an accountant, who is a high school graduate, confronting irregularities in a large accounting firm and striving to achieve justice in the most unorthodox manner. It is expected to deliver a tense and captivating story as accountants uncover the irregularities within the accounting firm and strive to establish justice.

Kim Myung Soo plays the role of Jang Ho-woo, an accountant who is the first and only high school graduate to be employed at Taeil Accounting Firm, which is the top firm among the Big 4 accounting firms in Korea. Jang Ho-woo is a character with exceptional memory and observational skills, a sense for numbers that is crucial for accountants, excellent adaptability and problem-solving abilities, and an extraordinary sense of justice to the extent that he once dreamed of becoming a police officer. He is a character with determination and tenacity to achieve what he sets his mind to.

Kim Myung Soo focused attention on the fact that this is his first project after completing his military service in three years.

He said, “To be honest, when I first thought of the profession of an accountant, I didn’t know specifically what they do. Through this project, I visited accounting firms, conducted interviews, directly saw the contents of the script, and learned about them.”

He expressed his hope that “the outcome will reflect the effort I put into it” and urged the audience to watch the drama with enjoyment, saying, “We worked hard to make it well-made, and I hope you enjoy it.”

“Numbers” premiered on the 23rd of June.
