Kim Mi Soo’s Father Addresses Speculations About The Cause Of Her Death + Comments On “Snowdrop” Controversy

Kim Mi Soo’s Father has stepped up to clarify some ongoing rumors about his daughter’s death and the last project she was involved in.

On January 5, a Korean news outlet reported that Kim Mi Soo has passed away at the age of 31 in Korean age and that her wake will be held at Taeneung Sungsim Funeral Service.

The news was a huge shock to fans considering how young the actress is, later, her agency confirmed the news via a statement, “Kim Mi Soo has suddenly left our side on January 5.”

The cause of Kim Mi Soo’s death hasn’t been revealed out of respect for the family. The father of Kim Mi Soo posted to an online community on the 11th of January, in his post, he says,

“If you look at various portal articles and comments, there are many unconfirmed speculative reports and articles. I’m so worried that the child’s mother will collapse if she sees those comments. So please refrain from posting speculative comments about her, I ask of you.”

“Snowdrop” is Kim Mi Soo’s last project. She plays the role of Yeo Jeong-Min in the drama and is part of the students and a close friend of BLACKPINK Jisoo’s character. The drama is pre-produced and is currently in post-production.

One YouTube channel has recently posted about the actress and spread the rumors that while her father supported her, he wasn’t supportive of “Snowdrop” due to the controversy it was involved in. Regarding that, the father says he hasn’t posted his comments on the drama out of fear of causing more controversy “Snowdrop,” his daughter’s drama. He added,

“When the situation is settled in the future, I will post my opinion on Snowdrop. Thank you for your comfort and interest in my daughter and family.”
