Actors Kim Jung Hyun and Lim Soo Hyang have been confirmed to work together on MBC’s upcoming drama “Season of Kkok Du.”
On September 26, the production team of MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Season of Kkok Du” said, “We started filming after confirming the casting of actors Kim Jung Hyun and Lim Soo Hyang.“
“Season of Kkok Du” is a fantasy romance drama in which an afterlife guide, Kkok Du, who comes down to the earth every 99 years to punish humans, meets the mysteriously skilled doctor, Han Gye Jeol, and works as a visiting doctor. It shows a special romance story between the afterlife and present life. Kim Jung Hyun and Lim Soo Hyang will work together to create the most mysterious yet romantic season in the world.
First of all, Kim Jung Hyun plays the role of Kkok Du, an ill-tempered guide of the underworld. Kkok Du is an underworld god who leads the deceased into the underworld and in this world, he has to enter inside the human body that looks exactly like him, find evil humans, and repeat murder as a punishment for angering the Creator of the world, and while the reason why he is suffering from the pain is still veiled, attention is focused on whether Kkok Du, who will possess the human Do Jin Woo will be able to release the curse.
Lim Soo Hyang will play the role of Han Gye Jeol, portraying the life of a doctor who studied at the last ranked medical school in the country and has had no luck. After the death of her mother at a young age, she only has her younger brother by her side, and she feels small and loses confidence because of the views of society, which prefers doctors from prestigious universities. For the first time in her life, Do Jin Woo, who takes her side, appears and brings a big change to her daily life.
