The main lineup for the upcoming ENA new Wednesday-Thursday drama “I’ve Been Waiting for You for a Long Time” [literal translation] has been revealed.
“I’ve Been Waiting for You for a Long Time” is a truth-tracking drama where a detective who was chasing the perpetrator of a murder case confronts his family’s hidden secrets and desires.
Na In Woo takes on the role of Detective Oh Jin-seong, a cheerful and eccentric detective at Woojin Police Station, nicknamed “Oh Jin-sang.” He takes on even unnecessary tasks with a sense of humor. After being transferred to the special investigation team for serial murder cases, he starts investigating with Go Yeong-joo (played by Kim Ji Eun) and Cha Yeong-woon (played by Kwon Yool).
Kim Ji Eun takes on the role of Prosecutor Go Yeong-joo, a bulldozer prosecutor who goes after the culprits by any means necessary. Go Yeong-joo is an idealist who believes that injustices must be avenged even through unjust means and has a friendly relationship with Oh Jin-seong.
Kwon Yul plays the role of Cha Yeong-woon, Go Yeong-joo’s colleague from the Central District Prosecutor’s Office and the elite prosecutor who is the son of Jinjin Group. Cha Yeong-woon has a crush on the honest and confident Go Yeong-joo but forms a rival dynamic between Oh Jin-seong and Go Yeong-joo after joining the murder investigation.
Baek Jong-ok transforms into Yoo Jeong-sook, Cha Yeong-woon’s mother and the director of Jinjin Medical, who is respected for her upright beliefs and impeccable skills. Lee Kyu Han portrays Park Ki-young, Cha Yeong-woon’s friend and a workaholic dentist who works for the Walker Hollick Prosecutor’s Office.
Jung Sang Hoon takes on the role of Bae Min-gyu, a dentist who is the son of a powerful congressman and engages in power abuse for money.
The production team of “I’ve Been Waiting for You for a Long Time” said, “We are currently finishing filming and accelerating the post-production work. We ask for your high expectations for a more polished production.”
The drama will premiere on July 26 at 9 p.m.
