Actor Kim Jae Wook could be starring in his first historical drama in 15 years!
On May 25, Kim Jae Wook’s management company, Management Soop, told news outlets he“received an offer and is reviewing it positively” regarding his appearance in the new drama “Tangeum.”
“Tangeum” is a mystery suspense romance based on a novel written by Jang Da Hye. The background is the Joseon Dynasty. Hong Rang, the only son of Sim Yeol Guk, the foremost merchant in Joseon, goes missing at the age of 8. He returns after 10 years. It is the story of the character with faith and doubt towards him.
Lee Jae Wook has been in talks to join the drama too.
“Tangeum” is set to be produced by Ace Maker and Netflix’s “Money Heist” director Kim Hong Sun is in charge of directing. The script is written by Kim Jin Ah, the writer of Apple TV’s “Doctor Brain”.
