tvN has unveiled a new romantic poster for their upcoming drama “Yumi’s Cells 2”!
“Yumi’s Cells” is based on the hit webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi- from the point of view of her brain cells that control her every thought, feeling, and action. The first season’s finale aired on October 30, 2021, the final episode hinted at the second season which is finally happening.
The newly released poster raises expectations about the second season and the characters’ return. Yumi (Kim Go Eun) gazes lovingly at a man who is smiling shyly while stroking her hair affectionately, it is her colleague Yoo Babi (Jinyoung).
In addition, Yumi’s style change also grabs the attention, in the first season Yumi had her iconic bob haircut and this time her hair is long, making us wonder how much time has passed since. The poster also hints at sparks beginning to ignite between both characters, the phrase, “The cells have begun to react again,” makes viewers look forward to the new romantic chapter of Yumi’s life.
“Yumi’s Cells 2” is set to air in June.

OMG, I am so excited to see the next season! I loved Yumi cells so much, super happy that they are airing it soon. The cast is amazing, the cells are funny, the writing and directing is great. It is not too long so the pace is not boring, what is not to like. And the OST is great too. Can’t wait!
