Actor Kim Byung Chul has shared his thoughts on marriage!
Recently, Kim Byung Chul sat down for an interview after the massively successful JTBC weekend drama “Doctor Cha” came to an end.
Kim Byung Chul played the role of Seo In-ho, the chief of the colorectal surgery department and Cha Jung-sook’s husband. Despite being the ‘bad husband’ who had an affair with his first love, Kim Byung Chul portrayed the character with charm and a lovable clumsiness, earning much love from the audience.
Recently, Kim Byung Chul sat down for an interview and had this to say about marriage.
At the age of 50, Kim Byung Chul is still unmarried. When asked about marriage, he said, “I think married life is positive. Of course, there will be difficulties, but I have a desire to experience it.”
When asked who he feels closer to between Cha Jung-sook and Choi Seung-hee [the two women he’s caught in between in the drama] in terms of ideal type, Kim Byung Chul clearly stated, “I like someone who has a positive aspect like Jung-sook. I’m not a bright person, so it would be nice to have someone who can uplift me by their side. It would be great if they work hard and receive recognition. Looking at it that way, it could be Jung-sook’s future self. Someone who has both the qualities of Jung-sook as a housewife and Seung-hee’s professionalism.”

Is Kim Byung-Chul oppa lowkey telling that he likes Uhm Jung-Hwa unnie? Because if yes, I will fully support it! I believe many (international) fans will be very happy to hear if they’ll date, and eventually end up getting married. No rush or any pressure. But I personally think Byung Chul oppa and Jung Hwa unnie really suits each other and a perfect match! Jung Hwa unnie, please give Byung Chul oppa a chance if he ever express his sincere love to you. I think people have to look at this less childish. Uhm Jung Hwa expressed several times, that she doesnt wanna get married but Kim Byung Chul wants to, so this is already off the table. Also, she just played a role and he liked the character she played. That doesnt mean shes exactly like that in real life. I really adore Kim Byung Chul and I would be so happy if he finds a wife, but I dont think it will be her at all. This whole shipping culture is weird to me and random people claim to know who is a perfect match and who isnt, without really knowing these actors in real life.
