The poster of Jung Yong Hwa and Cha Tae Hyun‘s “Brain Works” was released.

KBS 2TV’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Brain Works” is a full-fledged brain science comic investigation drama in which two men solve a criminal case related to a rare brain disease. Haru Shin, a brain neuroscientist with a very special brain, cooperates with detective Geum Myung Se on an exciting brain disease case with a twist, delivering a laugh and a sympathetic message.

Jung Yong Hwa plays Shin Haru, a brain neuroscientist who has perfect looks, splendid speech, and everything but lacks humanity. Cha Tae Hyun takes on the role of Geum Myung Se, a detective with an altruistic brain.

The poster, in which Jung Yong Hwa and Cha Tae Hyun are escaping from an emergency scene, shows a combination of seriousness and comedy. The poster catches the eye with a 180-degree different atmosphere. Shin Haru (Jung Yong Hwa) wears shoes in a stylish black suit and lifts up Geum Myung Se (Cha Tae Hyun) like embracing a princess with a solemn look. On the other hand, Geum Myung Se draws attention by wearing a casual rider jacket and sneakers and holding Shin Haru’s neck tightly with a happy expression on his face.

Shin Haru proudly walks through the police line holding Geum Myung Se in his arms despite the dizzying background of a vehicle exploding and burning fire, and Geum Myung Se clings tightly to Shin Haru and smiles, giving a foreboding of their extraordinary chemistry. Here, the phrase ‘The brain will save you’ added above the two people’s heads hints at the connection between the criminal investigation and the brain, raising curiosity to the fullest. In addition, as the phrase ‘Brain cooperation to realize justice by meeting with malice’ is added, expectations are high about what kind of activity Shin Haru-Geum Myung Se will perform.

Jung Yong Hwa will be playing the neuroscientist Shin Ha Ru who was born as the third generation of an affluent doctor family. He is a confident man who acts fearlessly according to his own beliefs about whatever difficult topics presented to him.

Cha Tae Hyun will be taking on the role of the dangerously kindhearted detective Geum Myung Se, unlike his appearance of a corrupt detective with a macho atmosphere and rough manner of speech, he’s actually a kindhearted person.

Kwak Sun Young is playing the role of Seol So Jung, a Forensic Hypnosis Investigator who has a ‘timid brain.’ She’s sensitive to stress more than your average person and her hearts begins to pound crazily as she gives instructions to those around her. After a situation ensues, her personality flips completely.

Ye Ji Won will be playing Geum Myung Se’s ex-wife Kim Mo Ran who has excess sexual drive. She’s always changing the man she’s dating while cheating with two to three people. Even after their divorce, she brazenly asks Geum Myung Se for various favors.

The production team said, “In this poster, we focused on Shin Haru appearing like a comet at the moment of crisis and saving Geum Myung Se and being together. Please watch “Brain Cooperation”, which will be launched as a full-fledged neuroscience comic investigation to see if they will meet each other and get entangled.”

“Brain Works” will premiere on January 2nd, 2023.
