Jung Ho Yeon’s First Acting Role Following “Squid Game” Success Is Not A Kdrama But This Instead, She’s Starring Opposite Cate Blanchett
Jung Ho Yeon has picked her next project!
After the massive success of “Squid Game,” many people have been wondering what type of project the model-turned-actress will pick next and we finally have the answer but its not a kdrama.
Jung Ho Yeon will be appearing in a new series by acclaimed director Alfonso Cuarón. The upcoming Apple TV+ series “Disclaimer” features a star-studded cast including Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
“Disclaimer” is based on a novel of the same name and is a new thriller, Cate Blanchett as Catherine Ravenscroft, a successful television documentary journalist who is horrified when she recognizes herself in a novel written by a widower (played by Kevin Kline).
Jung Ho Yeon is taking on the role of Kim, an ambitious hard-working woman who is eager-to-please Catherine Ravenscroft as she recognizes her as what could become her big break.
My personal thoughts- written by Jass K.
I kinda saw that one coming considering how much Ho Yeon has been promoting in America. She’s so talented and her performance in squid game was easily one of the best performances by a female actress in a 2021 kdrama.
She’s joining A-listers in Hollywood, we’ve certainly come far indeed since Netflix’s expansion using K-content. I am a bit sad though because this means she’ll likely not be able to partake in a kdrama or a k-movie any time soon assuming she starts filming for this project soon.
I would love to see her in a kdrama but if its a standard televised kdrama, I highly doubt thats happening because such kdramas schedules are not only super hectic but also time-consuming. She’s really busy right now, I wish her the best of luck and I can’t wait to see where she takes her career next.
