The team of “Veteran” has come back together for its sequel, “Veteran 2”.
“Veteran 2” is a sequel to “Veteran” which attracted 13.41 million viewers in 2015. It is a crime action film depicting a new crisis facing detective, Seo Do Cheol and a veteran violent crime investigation unit.
“Veteran 2” has the original veteran detective team united with director Ryu Seung Wan, who directed the first film and actors Hwang Jung Min, Oh Dal Su, Jang Yoon Ju, Oh Dae Hwan and Kim Si Hoo, who led the box office success of the first film.
Actor Jung Hae In joins as the youngest detective in the violent crime investigation unit, making the “Veteran” series more powerful.
Hwang Jung Min, Korea’s leading actor has shown strong acting skills through various works such as “Duke”, “Save Me From The Evil”, “Hostage” and Netflix’s “Suriname”. Seo Do Cheol will again show thrilling action with his old colleague, the violent crime investigation unit.
Jung Hae In joins the violent crime investigation unit as the youngest detective Park Sun Woo. As he newly joins the veteran detective team, all attention is on him on how he will bring life to the character.
All the detectives of the violent crime investigation unit in the first part join Seo Do Cheol in this part as well. Oh Dal Soo plays the role of team leader Oh, who has a good relationship with Seo. Jang Yoon Joo will play the role of charming detective Bong. Oh Dae Hwan will play the role of strong-headed detective Wang and Kim Si Hoo will play the role of detective Yoon.
“Veteran 2” brings a more intense world with both the actors you trust and new actors.
The reading for the film was held on November 24th and director Ryu Seung Wan said, “We are going to show a stronger suspense than the first film and a different sense of excitement. I will do my best”, he said conveying his aspirations.
Hwang Jung Min said, “I’m happy and excited to meet the “Veteran” team and the new members joining. I will put my best energy to make a good film.”
“Veteran 2” will begin filming this month.
