Jo In Sung, Jung Ho Yeon, Hwang Jung Min Confirmed To Lead New Survival Thriller Film “Hope” By “The Wailing” Director Na Hong Jin+ Hollywood Actors Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender To Join
Actors Jo In Sung, Jung Ho Yeon, and Hwang Jung Min along with Hollywood actors Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender have been confirmed to lead the new film by “The Wailing” director.
Director Na Hong Jin’s new film “Hope” is the story of residents confronting a mysterious attack that began in Hopo Port, an isolated port village. After an unknown existence is spotted outside the village, it will portray the struggles of residents who are on the verge of destroying the village while searching for it. It is a new project carefully planned by director Na Hong Jin, who has previously received attention by introducing an overwhelming masterpiece, considering the global market.
Director Na Hong Jin said, “It is often found throughout society that someone’s good will eventually leads to a catastrophe through differences in positions. This movie will try to capture this phenomenon. We plan to show a work that has never been seen before by reflecting the theme consciousness in the formal aspect of the film.”
The casting was confirmed by Hwang Jung Min, Jo In Sung, and Jung Ho Yeon. Hwang Jung Min plays Beom Seok, a rural police officer, and once again works with director Na Hong Jin. Jo In Sung plays the role of Sung Gi, a young hunter. Jung Ho Yeon will take the role of police officer Sung Ae.
The presence of Hollywood actors is also overwhelming. Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender decided to appear in the film.
Moreover, Director Na Hong Jin and Plus M Entertainment (CEO Hong Jeong In) recently completed an investment/distribution contract for their new film ‘Hope’. Director Na Hong Jin and production company Forged Films promised the highest quality of completion, while PlusM Entertainment promised full support for the success of the project.
On top of that, the nation’s best production team, including Cinematographer Hong Kyung Pyo, who caught the camera in outstanding works such as “The Wailing,” “Parasite,” and “Deliver Us From Evil,” will gather to complete the attractive lineup of the film.
Plus M Entertainment said, “Director Na Hong Jin’s ‘Hope’ is an attractive project that can expand to a wide range using content IP as well as the meaning of a high-quality film itself. Director Na Hong Jin’s “Hope” will air in the middle of this year after going through the pre-production stage.
