“Melting Me Softly” is up to a disappointing start!

On September 28, tvN “Melting Me Softly” aired its first episode and the rating is not as good as many had expected it to be.

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode recorded an average of 2.5% and a peak of 3.2% which is lackluster in comparison to expected ratings. “Melting Me Softly” marks Ji Chang Wook first project since his military discharge, fans all over the world were extremely excited to see him back on the small screen and had higher expectations.

It’s also disappointing considering that the previous drama that aired on the same timeslot, “Arthdal Chronicles,” which usually scored an average of 6-7%, with its finale last week, the drama scored an average of 7.3%, 2.5% is a huge drop from the previous drama average ratings.

Despite the ratings, many fans expressed their excitement about “Melting Me Softly” and wish for the drama to do better in tonight’s episode.

Have you checked out the premiere of “Melting Me Softly” yet? What did you think of it?

  1. I enjoyed both episodes now eagerly waiting for the 3rd episode. As I dont know the Korean language hope the team give subtitles in English to each and every conversation happened in episodes. ❤ love from india

  2. Why are the Critics so eager? They are worse than two year olds. Don’t they know; the best wines are aged, which requires time. The story is building and the actors are skilled, the Sci-fi drama will be interesting and anticipating. Just like Ji Chang Wook.

  3. I absolutely love JCW and missed him terribly the last 2 years. So I am super excited for this and loved the first 2 episodes.

I think the story is different and exciting. It should pick up its rating shortly. Even if it doesn’t….we love you JCW! ❤
