Actors Jeon So Nee, Lee Yoo Mi, Jang Seung Jo, and Lee Moo Saeng are teaming up for Netflix’s new series You Killed Me.
You Killed Me is a Netflix series that tells the story of two women who, faced with a reality they can’t escape unless they kill or be killed, become entangled in unexpected events.
Jeon So Nee will play Eun Soo, a luxury store employee. Eun Soo is a character carrying childhood trauma, and she makes a critical decision to save her friend Hee Soo, who lives in pain similar to what she experienced.
Lee Yoo Mi will play Hee Soo, Eun Soo’s friend who is desperately trying to escape a life of violence. Hee Soo, once a promising children’s book author, finds herself living in hell due to her abusive husband, and together with Eun Soo, they plot to kill him. The collaboration between these two rising stars is expected to heighten the immersion of the story.
Jang Seung Jo will play Jin Pyo, Hee Soo’s husband. He threatens the two women in his own way, adding relentless tension to the plot. Meanwhile, Lee Moo Saeng will play Jin So Baek, the head of Jin Gang Sanghoe. He is a key figure who discovers Eun Soo and Hee Soo’s plan and helps them, adding depth to the story.
Directed by Lee Jung Lim, known for stylish direction in Revenant and VIP, and produced by Studio S, Ghost Studio, and Film Company Mijee, You Killed Me is based on the original Japanese novel Naomi and Kanako by Okuda Hideo.
The novel received praise for its suspenseful portrayal of protagonists standing up to violence, and this adaptation is expected to ask powerful questions about those trapped in hellish realities and the people who have ignored the violence around them.
