Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara will reunite after 9 years in an upcoming drama.
tvN’s new drama “Family”, written by Jeong Yoo Seon and directed by Jang Jeong Do, announced on February 8th that actors Jang Hyuk, Jang Nara, Chae Jung An, and Kim Nam Hee have confirmed their appearances.
“Family” is a thrilling comedy that protects a close family of the NIS Black agent husband disguised as an ordinary office worker and the sweet and cruel wife who dreams of a perfect family. Jang Jung Do has directed a number of box office hits such as the drama “Live On,” “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” “The Crowned Clown,” “Our Blues” and “Alchemy of Souls”.
Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara are raising expectations for their fourth work together. Jang Hyuk plays the role of Kwon Do Hoon, a black agent of the National Intelligence Service who disguises himself as an employee of a trading company and the husband of Kang Yoo Ra (Jang Na Ra). Kwon Do Hoon is a veteran sniper with a quick, accurate, and neat one-shot, one-kill. He neglects his family due to his busy schedule, but he loves his wife Kang Yu Ra more than anyone else. Jang Hyuk captivated the public with intense charisma and sincere acting in each of the dramas “Voice Season 1”, “Money Flower”, “My Country”, “Tell Me What You Saw”, and “Bloody Heart”.
Jang Nara takes on the role of Kang Yoo Ra, the wife of Kwon Do Hoon. After meeting her husband, and creating the perfect family she had dreamed of her whole life, she is a housekeeper who tries to protect her family and hides her secret behind her lovely appearance. Through her dramas “Go Back Couple”, “The Last Empress”,”VIP”, and “Sell Your Haunted House”, Jang Nara has built her own character with her unique charm.
It is expected to be the fourth work of Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara together, who hit the jackpot whenever they meet. Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara have proven their chemistry verification through three works, “Cheerful Girl,” “You Are My Destiny,” and “2014 Drama Festival-Old Goodbye.” As a result, Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara, who will reunite with “Family” for the first time in nine years, are expected to captivate the small screen.
Chae Jung An takes on the role of Oh Cheon Ryeon, a professional NIS operative who is also Kwon Do Hoon’s shooter. When others see her, Oh Cheon Ryeon seems to be enjoying a glamorous single life, but in reality, she is a lonely woman who is starving for affection. Chae Jung An showed off her extraordinary presence with her girl-crush charm and stable acting skills in the dramas “Suits”, “Legal High”, “Monthly House”, and “The King of Pigs”. Attention is drawn to the chemistry that Chae Jung An will show with Jang Hyuk.
Kim Nam Hee plays Tae Gu, a suspicious uninvited guest who visits Kwon Do Hoon and Kang Yu Ra’s family. Tae Gu is a person who is endlessly impulsive in proving himself and comes to shake the life of Kang Yu Ra, a special being who was like a ray of light to him in the past. Kim Nam Hee made a strong impression on viewers’ through the dramas “Mr. Sunshine,” “Sweet Home” and “High Class”.
