Jang Geun Suk and Girls’ Generation Sooyoung will not be starring in the upcoming Kakao TV drama “Unexpected Country Diary”!
Back in August, it was reported that both Jang Geun Suk and Girls’ Generation Sooyoung were in talks to play the leads in the upcoming drama raising anticipation among fans at the possible pairing.
However, on September 15, it was reported that the production for the drama has fallen through due to unexplained circumstances, later, Kakao Entertainment clarified that the drama is still in planning.
Kakao Entertainment clarified that Girls’ Generation Sooyoung and Jang Geun Suk are no longer in talks to play the leads, but “Unexpected Country Diary” is still aiming to film next spring or summer. The production is still in the process of casting actors.
“Unexpected Country Diary” is based on a web romance novel about a man from Seoul who meets a policewoman when he moves to the countryside.
Looks like fans will have to wait longer to see new projects from Sooyoung and Jang Geun Suk.
