Jang Dong Yoon And Nana will be leading an upcoming new romance drama!
On January 7, it was confirmed that the two actors would be playing the lead in the upcoming drama “My Man Is Cupid” (literal translation). The drama tells the story of a fairy who falls in love after getting shot by his own arrow.
The drama has already gained massive attention for being helmed by “Lovers of the Red Sky” director Nam Tae Jin.
Jang Dong Yoon will star as Chun Sang Hyuk, a fairy who is stuck on Earth after having burned his own wings 500 years ago. He’s taken on 28 different forms since then and he’s unable to forget his first love, thus, he’s built a wall no woman can cross over. This changes when he accidentally shoots himself with his own arrow.
Nana will star in the drama as Oh Baek Ryun, a veterinary surgeon, she’s a beauty and many men fall for her instantly. Whenever she gets involved with someone, they wind up facing a life-threatening crisis that leads to them swearing off dating completely.

uhhmmm. So… this is…. It feels… a bit too childish for a romance drama for adults in my opinion, am I the only one who thinks that? Like… a cupid… getting shot by his own arrow? The idea screams a children’s book tale, I am surprised by the summary of the plot.
The same director behind this drama worked on “Lovers of the Red Sky” which had questionable CGI, to say the least. I wonder how much of a fairytale-like feel it’ll have.
Nana’s choices in recent years have been very odd in my opinion, she has a weird taste in dramas, I still like her acting so I am definitely checking this out. This also marks Jang Dong Yoon’s first drama since that whole “Joseon Exorcist” situation so I am definitely interested in seeing why they both chose this project.
