Jang Dong Gun And Park Hyung Sik Cast For Korean Drama Remake Of Popular US Show “Suits”

Another Korean remake of a popular US TV show in the making.

KBS confirmed that Jang Dong Gun and Park Hyung Sik will be leading the new Korean remake of the popular US show “Suits.”

“Suits” is a legal ongoing drama that tells the story of a fictional law firm in New York City, the focal point follows the talented college dropout Mike Ross who works for as a law associate for Harvey Specter despite never actually attending law school.

Jang Dong Gun will take on the role of Choi Kyung Seo which is the Korean counterpart of Harvey Specter, while Park Hyung Sik will take on the role of Go Yeon Woo the Korean counterpart of Mike Ross.

The US tv show is still ongoing and in the middle of filming for its 7th season, the show has been nominated for many prestigious drama wards in the US.

This marks Jang Dong Gun return to the small screen since his last drama “A Gentleman’s Dignity” 5 years ago. Park Hyung Sik is taking on his first role following the success of “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.”

The drama will be written by writer Kim Jung Min, and directed by Kim Jin Woo who has previously worked on “Mystery Queen.” The drama is aiming to air sometime in the first half of 2018.
