The Korean movie ‘Dream’ (Director: Lee Byung-hun) has topped the Korean box office.
‘Dream’, which was released on the 26th of April, tells the story of a former soccer player Hong Dae (played by Park Seo Jeon) with no concept and a passionless PD So-min (played by IU) who challenges an impossible dream with the homeless national team players.
On that day, ‘Dream’ attracted 93,417 viewers, recording a total of 101,277 viewers and achieving the top spot at the box office by surpassing ‘Super Mario Brothers’ (89,679 viewers). This marks the first time a Korean movie has taken the top spot in the daily box office in 50 days.
