“Hospital Playlist” Season 3 might not be happening after all!
On September 16, “Hospital Playlist” season 2 aired it’s final episode. Reports came out that there will be no 3rd season for the drama and it will end with it’s second season.
In response to the reports, a source from the production team clarified that the members of the cast and production team have the definite will to reunite if ‘a new season is planned someday, but as of now, there are no specific plans.’
This is similar to the remarks shared by “Hospital Playlist” director Shin Won Ho, he had previously commented on the possibility of a third season during the press conference for the second season, he said,
“The plan was to originally air in the same season across three years, but I told the actors to take it easy [they are not tied up for the next season] and they should feel free to take on other projects.
There are no specific plans for Season 3 right now.”
tvN’s “Hospital Playlist” is led by Jo Jung Suk, Jung Kyung Ho, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Dae Myung as five doctors who first met in medical school and have been friends ever since.
“Hospital Playlist 2” aired its final episode today.
My personal thoughts- written by Jass K.
“Hospital Playlist” is one of those super healing adorable dramas that you just can’t be mad at.
The plan to shoot every single year in a specified season is not easy to pull off in real life, especially since the cast of the drama is immensely popular and super busy. The second season came at a later date than expected due to that.
Not only that, but many supporting characters are growing in popularity due to the show and many of them have already been cast in upcoming projects that are either shooting right now or set to begin shooting next year. This makes it all more difficult to proceed with a 3rd season.
I could tell they were wrapping it up in episode 11 and honestly, I am not sad about it. It’s better to be upfront with viewers about not having a 3rd season rather than leaving people asking for answers.
