iKON’s Junhoe To Appear In A New Drama By The Writer Of “Chicago Typewriter”

iKON’s Junhoe is stepping up his activities as an acting idol and is set to appear in yet another drama.

According to the SpoTV on March 7th, Junhoe has been cast in “Sparkling Watermelon” (Script by Jin Su Wan, Director Son Jung Hyun).

“Sparkling Watermelon,” tells the story of a secretive schoolboy Koda (born to deaf parents) who travels in time through a suspicious musical instrument store, where he meets his father of the same age and builds a friendship with a mysterious girl. It is a period of youthful growth when you fall in love for the first time.

It is a new work by Jin Su Wan, a star writer who wrote “Kyungsung Scandal”, “Kill Me, Heal Me”, and “The Moon Embracing the Sun”. Expectations are high for writer Jin Su Wan’s next work after 4 years since “Chicago Typewriter”. Director Son Jung Hyun, who created “Should We Kiss First”, “All About My Romance”, “When My Love Blooms”, and “Mental Coach Jegal Gil”, is in charge of directing.

Junhoe who takes on an acting challenge with the movie “Once again even if I die”, ENA’s new original “Look! Deborah”, accelerates his acting activities by appearing in “Sparkling Watermelon”, which is one of the most anticipated works of 2023.

Junhoe, who recently transferred to 143 Entertainment along with iKON members and is preparing for a second activity, is raising expectations.
