HBO Confirms BLACKPINK Jennie Is Making Her Acting Debut In “The Idol”

Its been confirmed BLACKPINK’s Jennie is making her acting debut soon!

Recently, fans spotted BLACKPINK’s Jennie in the teaser for HBO’s upcoming series “The Idol.” Previously, it was reported that she was offered an acting role in the upcoming series created by The Weeknd and “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson.

On July 18, HBO’s official Twitter account confirmed the news by sharing a new photo of Jennie with the caption, “Jennie Kim has been cast in #THEIDOL.”

“The Idol” focuses on a pop singer (played by Lily-Rose Depp) who strikes up a romance with an enigmatic cult leader (played by The Weeknd).

Despite YG Entertainment not commenting on the reports, fans spotted Jennie in the newly released teaser trailer of the series. The premiere date for the series is yet to be announced but BLINKs are super excited to see Jennie making her acting debut.
