Actress Go Min Si’s shocking diet plan has become a hot topic.
Recently, a video titled “[Unreleased] 43kg Go Min-si’s Diet Plan” was uploaded on the YouTube channel ‘117.’
In the video, Go Min Si shared that she lost weight down to 43kg [95 lb] to play the role of sociopath Yoo Seong-a in Netflix’s “The Frog.”
She revealed her diet, saying, “I survived on an iced latte, one pack of seasoned seaweed, and two boiled eggs per day,” which left viewers astonished. She added, “My concentration actually improved. Eating makes me sleepy, but when I eat less, I feel more alert.”
Go Min Si followed this extreme diet to drop her weight to 43kg for the role. This revelation spread quickly through online communities, creating a buzz. She mentioned that she stayed on an empty stomach during filming and said, “Don’t you get sleepy after eating? I don’t like that feeling because my body and stamina can’t keep up. I really dislike that sensation.”
For the role, Go Min Si expressed, “I wanted my spine to be visible. I thought it would make my character’s brutal actions feel raw.” She also talked about her weight gain for the movie “The Witch,” where she went up to 58kg. She said, “I was happy because I could eat freely without restrictions.”
Go Min Si’s ability to fluctuate her weight at will has drawn significant attention.
Meanwhile, Netflix’s “The Frog,” in which Go Min Si stars, is an eight-part suspense thriller series released on August 23. It tells the story of people’s peaceful lives being disrupted and spiraling into uncontrollable chaos due to a mysterious guest who arrives in the middle of summer.
