Fans are super excited after hearing news about hallyu actor Gong Yoo possible next project, the actor has been away from the limelight for a while after the huge success of “Goblin,” the drama aired in late 2016 and ended in January 2017.
The actor had previously stated in interviews that his possible next project would be a film, not a drama since that’s where his heart truly is, and it has been revealed that he was offered the leading role in the upcoming film “Seo Bok.”
The actor’s agency said in an official statement,
“He is currently reviewing the offer positively.”
The film will be a modern reinterpretation of the classic legend of Seo Bok, a courtier who served China’s first emperor Qin Shi Huang; the Qin Dynasty ruler was famous for wanting to achieve mortality.
Seo Bok set on an impossible journey to find the elixir of life, Seo Bok is said to have never returned from his journey.
Park Bo Gum was first offered the leading role but had declined. The film is attracting lots of attention for being director Lee Yong Joo’s comeback project. The director had previously worked on 2012’s “Architecture 101.”
