“Flower Of Evil” Achieves Its Highest Rating To Date With Shocking 4th Episode

tvN’s “Flower Of Evil” is doing better in ratings!

According to Nielsen Korea, the August 6 broadcast of “Flower Of Evil” scored an average 3.7% in viewership ratings, a 0.6% increase from its 3rd episode and its personal best thus far.

The new Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won drama has seen a dramatic shift towards the 4th episode, netizens wonder whether the drama will be able to score better ratings in future episodes.

Meanwhile, public channel dramas scored lower ratings. MBC’s “CHIP-IN” recorded averages of 2.4% and 2.8%, KBS2’s “Into the Ring” scored average ratings of 2.0% and 2.4%.

JTBC “Was It Love?” also saw a decrease in ratings, scoring 1.68%.

Which one of these currently airing dramas are you watching?

My Personal Thoughts

Aside from “CHIP-IN,” I’ve been watching all the other dramas and out of all of them, my favorite is “Flower Of Evil.” I like the suspense and I like the fresh idea of the husband who could be potentially a serial killer. I’ve already reviewed episode 3 and 4 of the drama, you can read it here.

“Flower Of Evil” has the potential to grow bigger but it needs to keep up with the pace it created for itself, if it continues to do so, I think it can get better ratings similarly to what happened with “The Good Detective,” another good tvN drama that continues to perform well in ratings despite its humble start.

“Into the Ring” is nice but I am considering quitting because I just don’t like town politics. I don’t usually watch such types of dramas, I think the leads chemistry is really what’s keeping a lot of people tuned in, the issue is… the plot is boring.

JTBC “Was It Love?” is probably one of the year’s disappointing kdramas, everything about it is extremely repetitive and corny, the fact that such drama was made with such an amazing cast is puzzling. Song Ji Hyo’s acting was also iffy, especially in the first couple of episodes. I think to people who like love triangle and such plots will enjoy this regardless of its absurdity, but it’s not for me. I’ve watched way too many kdramas with the same clichés.
