YouTuber Hairmon (real name Kim Woo-jun) was sentenced to a fine for smoking marijuana with actor Yoo Ah In.

On the 28th of October, the legal community reported that Judge Yoo Dong-gyun of the Seoul Central District Court’s Criminal Division 24 sentenced Kim Woo-jun to a 5 million won fine for violating the Narcotics Control Act (marijuana). Kim Woo-jun, known as Yoo Ah In’s hairstylist and a YouTuber, was accused of smoking marijuana with Yoo and four acquaintances during a trip to Los Angeles, USA, in January last year.

Kim Woo-jun previously addressed the issue on his YouTube community page, acknowledging the media reports about his involvement in a “well-known celebrity marijuana incident” and apologizing for causing concern.

The court noted, “He smoked marijuana multiple times with his party during the trip.” However, it explained the sentencing, stating, “The defendant fully admitted to his actions and cooperated actively with the investigation. He was induced by his party members to smoke a small amount of marijuana, and it was not habitual.”

Meanwhile, Yoo Ah In was sentenced last month to one year in prison and fined 2 million won for habitual drug use and was taken into custody following the verdict.

Although the court found him guilty of drug use, it acquitted Kim Woo-jun on the charge of inciting marijuana smoking, concluding, “It appears that Yoo Ah In may have suggested smoking, but Kim Woo-jun joined willingly.”

Yoo Ah In’s appeal trial begins on the 29th.
