The drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” which has been causing a global syndrome by topping Netflix’s non-English-speaking TV content for two consecutive weeks, will be released as a webtoon through Naver Webtoon.
On July 27, Acetory CEO Lee Sang-baek, a producer of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” and a global comprehensive content studio, announced that it will unveil “Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young” produced by its subsidiary AIMC through a series of Naver Webtoon.
The webtoon “Extraordinary Attorney Woo ” will be officially published on Naver Webtoon as a Thursday webtoon, and will deliver the healing emotion delivered by the original work to global webtoon readers based on the webtoon’s unique story development method and direction.
The drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” which has been gaining popularity with a new drama preference in the “Favourite Korean TV Program” survey since 2013, started with 0.9% ratings in one episode and has recently topped Netflix ratings in 15 countries.
Webtoon Production Company AIM said, “With the release of webtoons this time, dramas and webtoons offer different pleasures to global viewers and readers, and we look forward to the explosive synergy between CROSS IP through webtoonization of global super IP dramas.”
