“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” May Be Getting A U.S. Remake, The Drama’s Production Company Responds

ENA’s hit drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” may be getting a U.S. remake!

On July 14, it was reported by JTBC News that ENA’s “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” has been receiving a lot of remake proposals including an American one. An official from ASTORY (the drama’s production company) later clarified the reports and stated that they indeed received an offer for a U.S remake and are now reviewing it.

“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is a drama that tells the story of Woo Young Woo (Park Eun Bin), a 27-year-old lawyer with Asperger’s syndrome who joins a new law firm and is able to solve various cases due to her IQ of 164. Woo Young Woo faces challenges as she confronts prejudice and the absurdity of the world from a different point of view. The drama also stars Kang Tae Oh, Kang Ki Young, Ha Yun Kyung, and Joo Jong Hyuk.

The drama also saw its rating increase by 10 folds with its latest episode recording an average nationwide rating of 9.1%, a significant jump from its previous episode rating of 5.2%. This is the drama’s highest rating yet.
