Coupang Play has released the character stills of actor Jang Geun Suk who is returning to the small screen with Coupang Play’s original series “Bait” for the first time in five years.
On January 9, Coupang Play released the first character stills of Jang Geun Suk from their upcoming drama “Bait.”
“Bait” is a crime thriller that tracks the secrets surrounding a murder case eight years after the death of the criminal in the biggest fraud case in history.
Jang Geun Suk plays the role of Goo Do Han, a homicide detective, in “Bait.” Goo Do Han seems to be moderately secular and a person who can compromise with reality, but when investigating a murder case, he is, more passionate and persistent than anyone else. While investigating the mysterious murder case, he finds out that the case is related to No Sang Cheon (will be played by Heo Seong Tae), a fraud criminal who died eight years ago, and digs into the underlying truth.
In the released character stills, the dramatic visual changes between the past and the present can be noticed. Goo was a lawyer specializing in corporate lawsuits in the past, but he became a homicide detective for some reason. The two stills show a stark contrast between lawyer Goo Do Han and detective Goo Do Han in the violent world.
Meanwhile, Jang Geun Suk was discharged from military service in May 2020. Jang Geun Seok’s last appeared in the 2018 SBS drama “Switch-Change the World.”
