“Confidential Assignment 2: International” Surpasses 3 Million Viewers In Just 6 Days Of Release
The movie “Confidential Assignment 2: International” has been dominating the box office during Korean thanksgiving, surpassing 3 million viewers on its sixth day of release.
According to the integrated computer network of the Korean Film Council released by distributor CJ ENM on September 12, “Confidential Assignment 2: International” topped the box office with a cumulative audience of 3,002,456 as of 12:50 p.m. This result was achieved six days after its release on September 7.
This is twice as fast as the first movie “Confidential Assignment,” which became the box office hit on New Year’s Day in 2017, and the foreign film “Top Gun: Maverick,” which dominated the theater this summer. The two films exceeded 3 million on their 12th day of release. In addition, Hansan: Rising Dragon, which surpassed 7 million viewers this summer, surpassed 3 million on the eighth day of its release.
“Confidential Assignment 2: International” is a film about the unpredictable triangular cooperation investigation of detectives united for their own purposes, including North Korean detective Lim Chul Ryeong played by Hyun Bin, and South Korean detective Kang Jin Tae played by Yoo Hae Jin, and New Face overseas FBI Jack played by Daniel Henney. Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae Jin, YoonA, Daniel Henney, and Jin Sun Kyu will appear in the movie.
Attention is focusing on whether “Confidential Assignment 2: International,” which currently ranks first in the box office, will continue its box office success after the Korean thanksgiving holiday.
