“Concrete Utopia” Becomes 3rd Korean Movie Of 2023 To Reach 3 Million Viewers
The movie “Concrete Utopia” has surpassed 3 million viewers.
According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing system, “Concrete Utopia” recorded a cumulative audience of 3,000,036 on the 24th at 9:26 PM, surpassing 3 million viewers on its 16th day of release.
“Concrete Utopia” is a disaster drama that depicts the story of survivors gathering in the only remaining Hwanggung Apartment in Seoul, which has turned into ruins due to an earthquake.
The movie achieved the milestone of reaching 1 million viewers on its 4th day of release, and surpassed 2 million viewers on its 7th day, demonstrating stable growth. On its 16th day of release, which marked the third week since its premiere, the movie surpassed 3 million viewers on the 24th, showcasing its strength as a summer box office hit.
Following ‘The Roundup 2” and ‘Smugglers’, “Concrete Utopia” became the third Korean film released this year to surpass 3 million viewers. It is throwing a topic that encompasses all generations, indicating a long-lasting box office success.
“Concrete Utopia” is currently being screened in theaters nationwide.
