Chae Jong Hyeop Addresses His Rising Popularity In Japan At Press Conference Of “Serendipity’s Embrace”
Chae Jong Hyeop shared his thoughts on his popularity in Japan during the production presentation for tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama, “Serendipity’s Embrace”!
Recently, “Serendipity’s Embrace” held its press conference, Director Song Hyun Wook and actors Kim So Hyun, Chae Jong Hyeop, Yoon Ji On, and Kim Da Som attended the event to discuss the drama.
“Serendipity’s Embrace” tells the story of a clumsy and awkward first love that is rekindled after a chance encounter 10 years later, transforming into a fateful love. It is based on the webtoon of the same name and depicts the journey boys and girls reuniting as twenty-nine-year-old adults, finding their destiny amidst numerous coincidences in a heartwarming and delightful manner.
Earlier this year, Chae Jong Hyeop starred in the Japanese TBS drama “Eye Love You,” gaining significant popularity. “Serendipity’s Embrace” marks his return to domestic work after “Eye Love You.” Chae Jong Hyeop expressed his gratitude, stating, “I think it’s overwhelming and an honor” regarding his popularity in Japan.
Regarding “Serendipity’s Embrace,” he said, “I also waited eagerly for this project after filming it, and I’m excited and happy. There were many parts of the script that I found interesting. Normally, I played characters who were caring and warm when they liked someone, but Kang Hoo Young is different, so I was intrigued by how I could express that and decided to take on the role.”
“Serendipity’s Embrace” will premiere on the 22nd at 8:40 PM.
