Actor Cha Seo Won has been on the receiving end of some pretty nasty comments after announcing his marriage to actress Uhm Hyun Kyung.
Previously, on the 5th of June, Cha Seo Won’s agency, Namoo Actors released the happy news to fans revealing that Cha Seo Won is getting married to Uhm Hyun Kyung and she’s pregnant too.
Despite the joyful news, some ‘fans’ began to leave hurtful horrible comments on his Instagram. The netizens expressed their discontent with the marriage news and called the actor out for revealing the news shortly after his recent BL drama “Unintentional Love Story” release which some argue affected the drama badly especially since it’s a BL drama.
As a result, the true fans who got wind of this flocked to his Instagram to leave positive and encouraging comments for the actor.
Due to this, on the official SNS account of the drama “Unintentional Love Story,” a post was made with a photo, saying, “To the fans of ‘Unintentional Love Story’ who might have been surprised by the sudden news, I am sharing the letter that Cha Seo Won cautiously sent. I hope that Cha Seo Won’s sincerity is well conveyed.”
The photo contained a handwritten letter by Cha Seo Won himself and reads as follows:
Hello, this is Cha Seo-won.
I believe many of you were surprised by my recent news.
Through “Unintentional Love Story,” I have formed precious connections with fellow actors, staff members, and the love from fans. The happy memories from the set all remain as grateful and precious moments for me.
I will continue to support my younger colleagues unwaveringly.
And as I have done until now, I will strive to show a good side of myself as an actor.

Cha Seo Won and Uhm Hyun Kyung became a couple while working together in the MBC drama “Second Husband,” which aired from 2021 to 2022.
Cha Seo Won enlisted in the army as an active-duty soldier on November 22 last year and is fulfilling his military duty, while Uhm Hyun Kyung will focus on prenatal care and prepare for childbirth for the time being.
