BLACKPINK’s Jennie might make her official debut as an actress!

On June 17, it was reported by media outlets that Jennie has received an offer to appear in the upcoming HBO series “The Idol” and is now reviewing the offer.

“The Idol” is an upcoming HBO series that tells the story of a female pop singer who falls in love with a mysterious club owner that turns out to be a secret cult leader. The series is created by The Weeknd, Sam Levinson (who is known for being the creator behind the hit HBO series “Euphoria”), and Riza Fahim. It will star Lily-Rose Depp, singer Troye Sivan, and The Weeknd as himself.

It is unknown what role Jennie has been offered, but it is highly expected that she was offered to play either a supporting role or make a small cameo appearance.

Last year, Jennie and The Weeknd were spotted having dinner together which sparked collaboration rumors.

“The Idol” is currently filming in Los Angeles, California.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK are preparing for their first comeback in almost two years although no specific dates or information have been shared.
