Aspiring Actress Jo Hana Tragically Passes Away By Suicide After Being Scammed

Aspiring Actress Jo Hana has passed away.

It’s been belatedly revealed that the 23-year-old actress has passed away by suicide after suffering from voice phishing and losing 2 million won (roughly $2000).

A close acquaintance has revealed the tragic news via social media. The acquaintance revealed she’s been scammed.

The young aspiring actress has previously made an appearance on KBS’s Joy “Ask Anything” and revealed that she’s lived 19 years without a birth certificate due to her parents divorce when she was a kid, they failed to register her, thus, she couldn’t go to school. At the age of 19, she was finally able to issue a birth certificate and took the GED exam by herself.

The tragedy for Jo Hana doesn’t end here. It’s been over 11 years since she’s seen her father and the actress had to work at a club to support her mother. She talked about dreaming of becoming an actress one day.

However, due to the pandemic, her career faced many difficulties. Jo Hana opened a YouTube channel recently after her dream of being an actress wasn’t fulfilled. The shock of being scammed and deceived causing Jo Hana to commit suicide according to various Korean news reports.

As the actress death was belatedly revealed, netizens are shocked and heartbroken to hear the news, many have left comments praying for her.

  1. May her soul rest in peace! When will this terrible behaviour of chanel viewers stop? Why do these sick people choose their victims among the most vulnerable? Why don’t they deal with people who have their sickness ? Will korean society ever do something to stop this madness from spreading? How many more suicides have to happen in order to be aware of how sick many people are? Please understand this sickness needs professional help!! Schools should teach students how to stand up when this happens, how to deal with this sickness and more so to strengthen their spirit in order to survive!
