“Alchemy Of Souls” Sees A Rise In Its Ratings With 2nd Episode

tvN’s “Alchemy of Souls” is on the rise!

According to Nielsen Korea, the 2nd episode of tvN’s new drama “Alchemy of Souls” scored an average nationwide rating of 5.9%, an increase from its previous episode rating of 5.2%.

“Alchemy of Souls” is a fantasy romance drama taking place in a fictional nation named Daeho, a country that doesn’t exist in history or maps. The story will follow a set of main characters whose fates get twisted due to magic that switches people’s souls.

Lee Jae Wook plays the sophisticated yet troublesome young master Jang Wook of the Jang family within Daeho nation. He’s a character that has a tragic background, the entire nation gossips about his shocking birth secret. He’s angry with the world but returns to the proper path after meeting assassin Mu Deok Yi. Jung So Min plays Mu Deok Yi, a great assassin stuck in the world’s weakest body. She becomes Jang Wook’s attendant and secret mentor, she teaches him in a brutal manner. 

Meanwhile, the latest episode of JTBC’s “Cleaning Up” recorded an average nationwide rating of 2.8%, a rise from its previous episode rating of 2.0%. This is also the drama’s highest rating yet.
