Ahn Hyo Seop To Lead Upcoming Drama About Office Romance
Ahn Hyo Seop has chosen his next drama!
On June 10, SBS confirmed that Ahn Hyo Seop is joining the upcoming SBS drama “Office Blind Date” (literal title).
“Office Blind Date” is a rom-com about an office employee who goes on a blind date with her company’s CEO in place of a friend while hiding her identity. The story was first published by author Hae Hwa as a web novel in 2017 and produced into a webtoon in 2018. It was previously announced that KakaoPage would be adapting the web novel and webtoon into a drama.
Ahn Hyo Seop will play third-generation chaebol Kang Tae Mu, he is very handsome and a genius. He is a workaholic who loves work more than himself and hates lies more than anything.
Although a nearly perfect man, he struggles with love due to past trauma. He is currently busily filming for the historical drama “Red Sky” with Kim Yoo Jung.
Kim Sejeong is in talks to play the female lead.
“Office Blind Date” will begin filming in the second half of this year and premiere in the first half of 2022 via SBS.

My personal thoughts- by Jasmine K.
uh… this reminds me a lot of the Kim Young Kwang drama that aired a couple of years ago.
“The Secret Life of My Secretary” has a very similar premise but in that case, the male lead couldn’t recognize faces. He went out on a date with his secretary without knowing her real identity.
The plot is very standard, the rich male lead with trauma, I am surprised he picked this drama because it is so basic. It is basic on the surface but such plotlines usually do well overseas.
Similar stories like this have been told so many times already so much so that there isn’t really anything left to tell. I will still watch the drama but my expectations have been lowered.
