Actor Yoo Seung Ho cited script, character, and director as reasons for choosing the drama “Deal” as his comeback work.
Yoo Seung Ho attended the press conference for the ‘2023 Wavve Content Lineup Briefing’ recently, he said, “There are about three reasons but first of all, the content was so unique. I enjoyed reading the script so much.” he added, “I wanted to try a raw character someday and I was able to do it through this work,” he said. “I thought that the color and feeling of the director who directed ‘Not Out’ matched well with ‘Deal’. When I first saw the director’s eye smile, I felt comfortable. I was pretty sure I could lean him,” he added with a laugh.
Regarding the atmosphere of the filming site, he also said, “When there is a ‘cut’ sound, the position of the director and fellow actors changes to friends. We’re in perfect harmony.”
“Deal” is a crime thriller drama about the kidnapping of two young men in their 20s who accidentally kidnap their classmates, and is based on a webtoon of the same name. Yoo Seung Ho takes on the role of Lee Joon Seong, who received attention as a promising football player in high school, but wanders with his dreams shattered and gets caught up in a kidnapping of his alumni as soon as he decided to live a new life.
Actor Kim Dong Hwi plays the role of Song Jae Hyo, who impulsively staged a kidnapping while trying to escape the crisis he faced during his medical school life, while Yoo Su Bin plays the role of Park Min Woo, the only son of a rich family who became the victim of the kidnapping.
Director Lee Jung Gon, who won three gold medals at the 22nd Jeonju International Film Festival with the movie “Not Out”, as well as three actors who have both acting skills and personalities, raise expectations. It will be released in the second half of this year.
