Sadly the late actor Lee Ji Han, who died in the Itaewon tragedy, was revealed to have been set to make his drama debut.

According to his agency 935 Entertainment on October 31, the late actor Lee Ji Han was cast in MBC’s new drama “Season of Kkok Du” and participated in filming.

On the same day, the “Season of Kkok Du” side also told Sports Seoul, “The filming of the drama has been suspended. We will resume filming after recasting.

“The Season of Dumplings” is a fantasy romance between the deceased Dumpling (played by Kim Jung-hyun), who comes down to the earth every 99 years to punish humans, and the doctor Hangyeoljeol (played by Lim Soo-hyang), who has mysterious abilities.

“Season of Kkok Du” is a fantasy romance drama in which an afterlife guide, Kkok Du, who comes down to the earth every 99 years to punish humans, meets the mysteriously skilled doctor, Han Gye Jeol, and works as a visiting doctor. It shows a special romance story between the afterlife and present life. The drama is actor Kim Jung Hyun’s comeback film that drew attention.

The late actor was scheduled to star in the drama as Han Gye Joel’s ex-boyfriend Jung Don. An official from the drama said, “There has been no decision on the replacement of actor.”

Meanwhile, the late Lee Ji Han died in the stampede tragedy at Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul in the afternoon of October 29. The mortuary was set up at the funeral hall of Myongji Hospital in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. on November 1.

The agency said on October 30, “We would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family who is deeply saddened by the sudden sad news, and to all those who love, cherish, and mourn Lee Ji Han. We hope you will see Lee Ji Han off on his last way warmly which is too soon.”
