Actor Jang Hyuk’s contract with Sidus HQ has expired and he is now a free agent.

“The exclusive contract with actor Jang Hyuk has expired,” an official from his agency Sidus HQ told OSEN on March 2nd. However, Jang Hyuk’s drama filming is still in progress, so “We will discuss whether to renew his contract as soon as he finishes it”, he said.

Jang Hyuk debuted in the SBS drama “Model” in 1997 and has been working under a management contract with SidusHQ. The following year, despite rapidly emerging as a young star with a rebellious image in the KBS 2TV drama “School”, he kept his loyalty to his agency and created warmth throughout the entertainment industry.

Jang Hyuk is currently filming a new drama “Family” with singer and actor Jang Nara. This is the third meeting between Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk after SBS’ “Cheerful Girl’s Success Story” and MBC’s “I Love You Like Destiny”. All of their previous works have been very successful and are raising expectations. Accordingly, after filming “Family”, they plan to discuss in detail whether or not to renew the contract with Sidus HQ.

“Family” is a thrilling family comedy-drama about a NIS black agent husband who disguises himself as an ordinary office worker and a sweet wife who dreams of a perfect family. It is scheduled to air on tvN in April.
