2PM member and actor Hwang Chansung expressed his affection for his precious family, whom he considers a turning point in his life in recent interview.

Recently, Hwang Chan-sung conducted a round interview to commemorate the end of the ENA drama series ‘Bora! Deborah’ at a café in Seoul.

In the drama, Chansung portrayed the character Noh Joo-wan, who dated Deborah for three years with the intention of marriage. Noh Joo-wan is a character with a strong desire for recognition, and Hwang Chan-sung depicted him as his own version of a “bad guy” who deceives his long-time girlfriend, meets other women, and inflicts pain through hurtful actions.

During the interview with Star News, Chansung revealed his thoughts on the conclusion of the drama, saying, “It was the 71st shooting, and I thought, ‘Is this really an understandable speed?’ I was grateful because the director captured the scenes so well, and it was a joyful set where laughter never ceased from the rehearsals. The atmosphere was even better because the actors each did their part well.”

Chansung, who has been in a relationship for over 5 years, married his wife, who is 8 years older than him, last year and welcomed their daughter in July of the same year. This has been a turning point in his life as a singer, actor, and human being.

Chansung said, “My daughter looks just like me. I think getting married was a turning point. It’s not a completely new start, but I think it’s the beginning of the second act of my life, and I continue to strive to fulfill my dreams.”

He continued, “Of course, there is pressure as the head of a household. I think a lot of things will change depending on how I handle it. The weight of making choices has become heavier, and I realized that it’s not just about living well for myself. When my daughter goes to school, I hope she feels close to me and is proud of me, and when she grows up, I hope she recognizes that I worked hard,” he revealed his thoughts.

He also mentioned that he received an offer to appear on a parenting reality show at the same time as his daughter’s birth but declined. Chansung said, “If my child wants to do it in the future, I will support her. If the child is revealed, it cannot be undone. I think I have to ensure my child’s life now. I still don’t want to reveal her.”
