“100 Days My Prince” Starring EXO’s D.O And Nam Ji Hyun Breaks A Long Held tvN Ratings Record
Fans are super excited about the newly premiered tvN drama “100 Days My Prince” so much so that the drama ended up setting a new ratings record for tvN.
The drama aired its first episode yesterday on September 10, it achieved 5% in ratings across all paid platforms (cable, satellite, IPTV).
Thus, it became the highest rated drama in its time slot across all channels (public and private), it peaked at 6.4%.
“100 Days My Prince” became the highest rated premiere of tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama. Among 20-to-49-year-olds it achieved an average of 2.6% with a high of 3.5% which is also the highest of all channels.
“100 Days My Prince” is a historical drama about a crown prince (played by EXO’s D.O.) who loses his memory and a woman (played by Nam Ji Hyun) who is the oldest unmarried woman in her village.
This drama marks EXO’s D.O. first EVER leading role in a drama, he had played many supporting roles in various dramas since his debut back in 2014 but this is the first time he played the lead in a drama, this is also his first historical drama role.
EXO’s D.O. has mainly focused on movies and received a lot of praise for his acting chops some calling him one of the best idol-actors currently promoting in South Korea.
He proved his worth again with a great performance as the grumpy demanding crown prince in “100 Days My Prince.”
Fans also pointed out that the cinematography, as well as the humor of the drama, was really nice. The drama is 100% pre-produced!
