Jun Ji Hyun and Joo Ji Hoon will be leading the upcoming drama “Mount Jiri” and here are all the details we know so far.
Earlier this year, it was reported that both actors were considering an offer to star in the upcoming drama. On September 4, it was revealed that both were confirmed for the drama.
“Mount Jiri” tells the story of park rangers who rescue people at Mount Jiri. Jun Ji Hyun will play Seo Yi Kang, the top ranger who knows her way around Mount Jiri National Park. Joo Ji Hoon will play the character of Kang Hyun Jo, a military academy graduate with a deep secret; he joins as a new ranger and becomes Seo Yi Kang’s partner.
“Mount Jiri” is written by Kim Eun Hee, who has written some of the biggest dramas including “Sign,” “Ghost,” “Three Days,” “Signal,” and the “Kingdom” series.
It will be directed by Lee Eung Bok, who has worked on many dramas including “School 2013,” “Descendants of the Sun,” “Goblin,” and “Mr. Sunshine.”
It’s reported that the drama will begin filming in mid-September and is scheduled to air some time in 2021, the exact premiere date for “Mount Jiri” hasn’t been announced yet, stay tuned for more updates.

My Personal Thoughts
The biggest reason I am watching this drama is Kim Eun Hee, she is an amazing screenwriter and I love her projects, she’s one of the best in her field. I bet there is so much more to the story that we don’t know about, and I bet it’ll be very interesting.
Jun Ji Hyun is picky about her projects and this marks her first one in I think 3 years, Joo Ji Hoon also picks interesting projects. They’re both good actors so I am looking forward to seeing this drama. I hope she won’t be playing a quirky character again.
