Super Junior’s subunit D&E is gearing up for their return to the music scene. Donghae and Eunhyuk sat down for rounds of interviews to promote their upcoming comeback.
On August 13, they sat down for an interview and were asked about Henry’s departure from SJ Label last April, the two idols gave a shocking response when asked whether they felt bad that he hadn’t renew his contract with the label, they said,
“We don’t feel hurt at all.”
They explained their statement,
“Its unfortunate that he has been standing on his own without renewing his contract with SJ Label.”
They talked about being proud of him for marching on his own after parting ways with SM Entertainment.
Eunhyuk added,
“He is someone who has had his own vision and knew what he wanted to so, we’ve always cheered him on. I hope that he gets to do more of the things that he wanted to do and that all goes well for him. He has been doing a great job pursuing his ambitions through variety shows and music, watching him do all of that makes me feel proud of him.”
He also talked about the time he teared up a bit while talking to Henry on the phone, he said,
“I think he’s in the middle of filming a movie right now. I had a recent video call with him and he told me that he missed me. For some reason, I started tearing up.”
Henry has been doing well since his departure from SM Entertainment back in April. He has established his own personal studio in China called “Henry’s Workshop” and also created a partnership with a brand new Korean agency, The Cre8tive Lab.
Donghae and Eunhyuk are the first Super Junior members to open up about Henry’s departure from his label in April.
Fans are glad that Donghae and Eunhyuk still maintain a close relationship with Henry despite his departure from the label.
