On the 5th of December, “Season Of KKok Du” revealed the scenes of script reading.
“Season of Kkok Du” is a fantasy romance in which Kkok Du, the god of death, who comes down to punish humans every 99 years, meets a doctor with mysterious abilities, Han Gye Jeol.
On the day of the script reading, director Baek Soo Chan, director Kim Ji Hoon, writer Kang Lee Heon and Huh Jun Woo, as well as Kim Jung Hyun (Kkok Su), Lim Soo Hyang (Han Gye Jeol), Kim Da Som (Tae Jeong Won), Ahn Woo Yeon (Han Chul), and Kim In Kwon ( Ok Sin) and Cha Cheong Hwa (Gak Shin) were present.
Before the script reading, Director Baek Soo Chan sent a heartfelt message, saying, “It is a great honour to be here.” Director Kim Ji Hoon said that the team atmosphere is so good.
The script reading started out with excitement and began to be filled with the actors’ passion for acting. First, Kim Jung Hyun portrayed the colourful character of Kkok Du, the god of the underworld who suffered the wrath of the god. He showed off his mischievous side when he had a quarrelsome romance with Han Gye Jeol (Im Soo Hyang), but when he cursed a human who deserved punishment, he showed the overwhelming force of the death god.
Lim Soo Hyang will play the role of Han Gye Jeol, portraying the life of a doctor who studied at the last ranked medical school in the country and has had no luck. After the death of her mother at a young age, she only has her younger brother by her side, and she feels small and loses confidence because of the views of society, which prefers doctors from prestigious universities. For the first time in her life, Do Jin Woo, who takes her side, appears and brings a big change to her daily life.
Dasom , Ahn Woo Yeon, Kim In kwon, and Cha Chung Hwa, who are leaving various traces as actors, have joined as the supporting cast and are receiving enthusiastic responses.
Dasom will take on the role of Tae Jung Won who is so talented that she has never missed the first rank for entering the Korean National University of Medicine till graduation.
Actor Ahn Woo Yeon will play the role of Han Chul, Lim Soo Hyang’s younger brother and detective who can’t stand injustice, showing his unique color.
In addition, actor Kim In Kwon plays the role of god Ok Shin, who lacks wits and assists Kkok Du, and Cha Chung Hwa plays the role of god Gak Sik, who is full of wits and these actors who are experienced in acting are already drawing expectations from the viewers.
“Season Of Kkok Du” will premiere on January 27, 2023.
