The first script reading photo of tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama “One Hit Scandal” featuring the main leads Jeon Do Yeon and Jung Kyung Ho has been unveiled.
“One-Shot Scandal” depicts the bittersweet scandal between an owner of a side dish shop who entered the entrance exam late and an instructor who become a star in Korea’s top private education field. The drama will tell the warm and cold yet sweet and thrilling story of the people who enter and experience the competitive world of entrance exams. It is a heartwarming romance presented by director Yoo Jae Won and writer Yang Hee Sung, who have reunited after “King Of High School” and “Oh My Ghostess.”
Director Yoo Jae Won and writer Yang Hee Sung, as well as all the cast members, including Jeon Do Yeon, Jung Kyung Ho, Lee Bong Ryeon, Oh Eui Sik, Shin Jae Ha, Roh Yoon Seo, Jang Young Nam, Kim Sun Young, and Hwang Bo Ra, attended the script reading. The actors quickly immersed themselves in their roles and showed passionate performances reminiscent of the actual filming site. Even though it was their first meeting, they perfectly embodied their characters, revealing their charm and presence.
Actress Jeon Do Yeon, who returned to the romance comedy genre after a long time, overwhelmed the atmosphere of the scene with her presence alone. Jeon Do Yeon will play Nam Heung Sun, a passionate owner of the National Representative Side Dish Shop. She is a former national athlete who belatedly entered the overwhelming world of entrance exams. Nam Heung Sun is a very strong person who doesn’t get swayed even when faced with the hardships in her life, she believes in her choices and doesn’t make excuses. However, she unexpectedly continues to get entangled with the first-class instructor Choi Chi Yeol after entering the private education market late. In particular, not only the lines but also the eyes and gestures vividly depict the situation drawn in the script, signaling Jeon Do Yeon’s “trustworthy” performance.
Jung Kyung Ho’s passionate performance, who fell in love with the character Choi Chi Yeol, Korea’s best math instructor, also raised expectations. Jung Kyung-ho, who quickly immersed himself in the character with his extraordinary concentration, expressed Choi Chi Yeol, who has both financial power and fame, with his outstanding skills as well as his outstanding speech and brilliant showmanship. Jung Kyung Ho increased the level of immersion in the field by showing a variety of charms of Choi Chi Yeol, who is sensitive, feisty, professional, and smart at work. In particular, he even gave a fluent lecture that was full of difficult mathematical formulas.
Jeon Do Yeon and Jung Kyung Ho showed great chemistry and teamwork, even though it was their first time acting together in the drama, also attracted attention. The harmony between the two, which was unbelievably fitting for the first time, drew a happy smile throughout the script reading.
