Yoo Young Jae, a former member of the male idol group B.A.P, and Hwi of Newkidd will join the military on the same day.

Yoo Young Jae reported the news of his enlistment on his Instagram on November 6 along with a photo with B.A.P members. He said,

“I know it’s sudden, but I’m going to join the army on November 8. I debuted on January 27, 2012, and I have a lot of great memories. I was so happy because of you for about 10 years after my debut, and I think I also spent my life trying to be a better person. Now I will fulfill my military duty well and come back healthy after 18 months so that I can show you great acting and music activities. I hope you’re all healthy, smiling, and having a great time. I’m going to miss you a lot. I love you.”

Yoo Young Jae, a member of B.A.P. who debuted in 2012, has also been active as an actor, appearing in several dramas such as “The Woman of 9.9 Billion,” “Mr. Queen,” “Police University,” “Cleaning Up,” and “Mimicus.”

Hwi, a member of boy group Newkidd, will join the army on November 8. J-Flo Entertainment, the agency, shared the news of Hwi’s enlistment and said, “As the national mourning period continues due to the Itaewon tragedy, we will proceed with the enlistment entry privately in respect of the artist’s intention to enter quietly.”

Hwi, who took his first step in the entertainment industry with Newkidd’s second preview album “Boy Boy Boy” in July 2018, officially debuted as a member of Newkidd in 2019 and worked as a member in “Tures” and “Come.”

Wishing them a safe military service!
