Actors Yoo Yeon Seok, Moon Ga Young, Keum Sae Rok, and Jung Ga Ram have been confirmed to join JTBC’s upcoming drama “Understanding Love.”
On October 6, JTBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Understanding Love” unveiled the casting lineup starring Yoo Yeon Seok, Moon Ga Young, Keum Sae Rok, and Jung Ga Ram.
“Understanding Love” is a melodrama about people with different perspectives meeting each other and understanding the meaning of true love.
Four people with different perspectives on the emotion of “love” meet at KCU Bank’s Yeongpo branch, a place where they draw a realistic love story. Yoo Yeon Seok, Moon Ga Young, Keum Sae Rok, and Jung Ga Ram will build up the story with delicate emotional lines of those who are heading towards love in a realistic way.
Yoo Yeon Seok takes the role of Ha Sang Soo, a person who wants to live an ordinary life that retains a certain value under any circumstances, as the meaning of the name Sang Soo (Constant) suggests. A new person who is like a variable appears in front of him. His daily life changes due to the variable of love that intervened in his peaceful life which has had no problems until it happened.
Moon Ga Young plays the role of Ahn Soo Young, who is different from Ha Sang Soo, who pursues stable love. She considers love to collapse at any moment. Ahn Soo Young, who lives a busy life to protect herself from unprivileged circumstances, feels excited by a man who suddenly approaches her one day. Indeed, this excitement leaves a question mark on how it will change Ahn Soo Young, who thinks love is like a sand castle.
Keum Sae Rok plays the role of Park Mi Kung, a “natural born golden spoon” with natural ease and sophistication. Park Mi Kyung has clear self-assertion and a straightforward instinct. She must have a relationship with the person she wants to be her person, and she gives and distribute everything generously. However, as there is a relationship that does not proceed as she wants.
Jung Ga Ram plays the role of Jung Jong Hyun, a police officer who lives with dreams and hopes of success. Jung Jong Hyun is a serious character who always tries his best and lives without losing hope of becoming a person who suits the person he likes. Attention is focused on what choice Jung Jong Hyun, who is sincere in everything, will make when he encounters a wall of reality that he cannot overcome.
As such, these four people with different perspectives on “love” will meet in one space to create an entangled love line.
The production team of “Understanding Love” said, “It will provide viewers with deep sympathy as it depicts the story of four people who have different backgrounds and personalities being entangled with the connection of ‘love.’”
“Understanding Love” will be released later this year.

wow! thats a lineup indeed. Never thought they would be paired together. Ga Ram is back from the military which is nice, can’t wait to see him in this new project.
I am not too keen on the pairing of Yoo Yeon Seok and Moon Ga Young mainly because of their age gap. While Moon Ga Young does give off a mature vibe, I don’t know how I would feel about pairing her with someone who looks old enough to be her big brother or even uncle. He’s 12 years older than her.
It happened before a lot in kdrama land and it differs by case, but this time, I feel a bit worried about this. As I don’t see them matching well with each other. The good thing is, Yoo Yeon Seok and Moon Ga Young almost always good chemistry with everyone they acted with.
My worries might be unfounded once the drama airs and we see how it goes.
Nevertheless, its an interesting story, excited to see it later this year.
