Genie TV’s original drama “I Don’t Want to Do Anything” confirmed its release in November 2022.
The drama “I Don’t Want to Do Anything” starring Seolhyun and Im Siwan is a project to find a stopping point in life between a voluntarily unemployed character Yeo Reum played by Seolhyun and a librarian Dae Beom played by Im Siwan. It depicts a story of leaving a complex city and visiting a strange place where one visits to do nothing but find themselves. The drama is expected to provide beautiful visuals with scenery captured through filming in places such as Gurye, Gokseong, and Namhae.
Director Lee Yoon Jung will direct “I Don’t Want to Do Anything.” Director Lee Yoon Jung, who led “Coffee Prince,” which remains as a once in a lifetime drama for many people, as well as “Triple,” “Heart to Heart,” and “Cheese in the Trap,” drew attention for her trendy and warm-hearted directing. Synergy with director Lee Yoon Jung, who returned to her major genre, raises expectations.
On top of that, Seolhyun and Im Siwan will work together for the first-time drawing attention. Seolhyun, who is showing her growing acting skills in each work, will portray Lee Yeo Reum’s growth narrative of what led to her life when she comes to Angok Village.
Im Siwan, who recently received favorable reviews for his strong villain performance in the movie “Emergency Declaration,” plays Ahn Dae Beom, a shy librarian, showing a 180-degree transformation. Young actors such as Shin Eun Soo and Bang Jae Min also join to add fresh chemistry.
“I Don’t Want to Do Anything” is also drawing attention as a project organized by KT Studio Genie, which is heating up the content market “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” “Good Job” and “Gaus Electronics.” G-Tist, who created well-made dramas such as “It’s Alright, This is Love,” “Dear My Friends,” “Live,” “The Crowned Clown,” “Hotel Del Luna” and “Our Blues,” will take charge of production to enhance the drama.
