Famous Composer And Singer Don Spike To Be Put On Trial After His Arrest + Rumored To Have Bought Drugs Worth Over $30,000

Famous composer and singer Don Spike, who was accused of taking drugs several times, has been put on trial under arrest.

According to the prosecution on October 21, the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors’ Office arrested and indicted Don Spike on charges of violating the Act of Additional Punishment laws on specific crimes, etc.

Don Spike is accused of buying methamphetamine worth about 45 million won ($31,216) nine times and taking methamphetamine 14 times in total. Five of them were taken jointly with other people, the investigation confirmed.

In addition, there are charges of delivering methamphetamine and ecstasy seven times and possessing methamphetamine worth about 20g.

Earlier, the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors’ Office investigated Don Spike by extending his arrest period. Under the Criminal Procedure Act, the prosecution may extend the arrest period once within a period not exceeding 10 days with the permission of the court.

The prosecution arrested and indicted some of the accomplices along with Don Spike on the same day. The rest were indicted without detention.

It is reported that Don Spike co-purchased methamphetamine with someone from December last year to September this year and administered methamphetamine with two female customers in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Police found Don Spike taking methamphetamine while investigating another suspect’s alleged drug use. Later, the singer received an arrest warrant and he was arrested at a hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at around 8 p.m. on September 26.

The police applied for an arrest warrant for Don Spike, and the Seoul Northern District Court issued an arrest warrant on September 28, saying, “There is a risk of him running away.” On the same day, Don Spike was photographed entering a police station for questioning following his arrest. He said, “I admit to using drugs. I am sorry for causing concern. I will diligently take part in the investigation and will pay for my sins. I will reveal the details during the investigation process.”

After the news went viral, it was reported that KBS, Channel A and MBC have edited out/excluded Don Spike from their replay services and deleted all online video clips that included him. KBS said in a statement to a news outlet that they have decided to delete all videos that included his face.
