The recently released documentary video about the debut process of LE SSERAFIM has garnered a lot of attention and a lot of negative feedback directed at the management of the group.

On September 17, the 3rd episode of the docuseries “The World Is My Oyster” was dropped. The videos aim to show the grueling process the LE SSERAFIM members had to go through to debut.

In the video, the members can be seen clearly being stressed over the pressure of their upcoming debut. Sakura fights back tears as she explains how stressed they are when the team leader essentially asks them to lose more weight as he doesn’t see they’re at 100% yet. The team leader calls the request to continue weight loss ‘self-management’ and encourages the members to ‘manage’ themselves accordingly.

Sakura said, “I am a bit upset. We’ve been working so hard. I don’t want us to have stress about something like this. I’ve seen members struggle and be criticized for these things. I think we’ll have to bite the bullet and try really hard, much harder.”

Sakura explained she didn’t want them to stress about dieting so hard while preparing for their debut. Kim Chae Won also agreed with Sakura but added she understood its for their ‘own good’, she agreed with the team leader’s advice that they should lose more weight. She said, “I agree, I wouldn’t have any problems with members having different meal plans. As Sakura said, it’s nothing to get upset about. It’s all for our own good so I don’t think we would mind.”

Fans were not quite pleased with this episode and called out the team leaders for pressuring the girls to diet so hard despite the fact that they are so thin already.
